From the tech savvy campus of Hinjewadi to the earthy Asia Plateau, serene and in the lap of nature, the students of Symbiosis Institute of International Business had a journey that will make many of them reflect on their lives.

Gandhiji led Quit India campaign, the freedom campaign from Empire. However, Quiet India campaign leader Vipul Shaha of Pandare village stated that “Quietness is of benefit to us all, and rudeness and bullying by motor cyclists and all drivers must come to an end” leading us all to freedom from unnecessary noise.

Asia Plateau 40th Anniversary celebrations

For 40 years, Asia Plateau, the IofC Asian centre in Panchgani, India, has motivated thousands to transform their own lives for the greater good, with a ripple effect around them. 250 people from 32 countries attended the celebration from 15-21 January to seek "What is the heightened role that Asia Plateau can play in today's fast-changing, threatened world? How can we help fulfil Asia Plateau's vision of a cleaner, calmer and fairer world?"

Caux Initiatives of Business (CIB) launched the opening of its international conference, ‘Asia’s Relevance in a Globalizing World – Trust and Integrity in the New Leadership Model’ at Asia Plateau, Panchgani. A unique feature of this conference lies in the growing partnership between Japan and India in a globalized world. Both these Asian countries are co-hosting and sponsoring this conference.

Outreach in Kashmir

Things have changed from the Kashmir of yesterday where Hindus and Muslims lived side by side in amity and oneness. However after 17 death-filled years there is a change in the wind. Some groups have now broken free from the paralysis of difficulties there and have started taking action to create tiny pockets of hope.

Initiatives of Change offers young people a priceless opportunity of a six month internship in the IofC way of life. With the completion of another internship programme, these interns returned to their own homes with a new commitment to bring change. This is what they are taking back...
